PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The left knee of T.J. Watt, linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was injured during Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, forcing him to leave the match and not return.

Watt was brought down in the third quarter due to a collision between his leg and that of his teammate Montravius Adams. Although Watt managed to leave the field by himself, he required assistance from the Steelers’ medical staff.

Adam Schefter, an ESPN NFL insider, mentioned that the defensive star of the Steelers possibly encountered an MCL sprain and expressed his desire to return to the game. However, Watt’s request was not approved by the team’s medical staff. Further testing will be conducted to determine the severity of Watt’s injury.

Watt presently leads the league in sacks with 19, adding two more to his tally during Saturday’s game before exiting the field.
