The Colts’ season ends after losing to the Houston Texans in Week 18


Despite a touchdown from the Texans on their initial offensive play, both offenses were contained for most of the first half.

The following seven combined possessions resulted in punts, maintaining a 7-3 scoreline well into the second quarter. However, everything changed after the two-minute warning.

Immediately after the break, Texans’ quarterback C.J. Stroud connected with his fullback Andrew Beck for a one-yard touchdown. Their double-digit lead was short-lived, however.

Returning to the field with 1:57 remaining in the half, the Colts’ offense swiftly moved into field goal range. Ultimately, they reached the Texans’ 34-yard line, setting up a 52-yard field goal attempt by Gay.
